I plan to draw and share my janky art for this very reason. Let's do this 💯

Undead warrior was perfect for my most recent post. Credit given, of course.

I also want to do something like this...it would be great for my art practice too I think, to make lots of art like that. Though I think I would ask for a citation, at least/put my sig in clever corners

I agree with your sentiments about AI art—it's nasty and soulless and, IMO, should never be used with a finished project. That said, I found it to be a helpful tool for approximate (AI is never 100% accurate, even "good ones") description references of characters, especially my non-human aliens. BTW, there are also species where AI comes nowhere close because it lacks imagination. I sent samples of four characters to an ACTUAL COMIC BOOK ARTIST and said, "This is basically what they look like, can you make them do this?" The cover art turned out fantastic and is currently being colored. I looked at your pages--you do great work. I just subscribed to your YouTube under my real name

Yep! AI art for mock-up or FPO is a great use. I love to tell my artist friends, “Something kinda like this, but have fun, go wild, do what amuses you.” The results are always cool.

100% agree. Add to that, it "learns" from artists by plagiarizing them. Artwork is work.

Thank you for this.

My objection to AI art has never been about what it looks like, but the fact that it can't be and can never be worthy of the name art in any sense of the word. The egregious stealing of genuine work and the production of cheap derivative imitations is another factor. Humans live in a community, we rely on each other, we need to be better. We need to not steal from each other, not only in terms of what has been created, but also in terms of the opportunities to create future works of great art. I probably sound like a maniac going on a rant, but this absolutely cannot stand and it is only through projects like your own which may actually work to reduce the uptake and thereby funding of AI that a difference might actually be made. That is to say... Thank you.

Love this idea! We have to support the artists who actually put work into their creations over the mindless generations of a machine.
